Priority of Access Guidelines:

The Dept. of Education stipulates priority of access guidelines for preschools. These guidelines mean that we must give priority to:

  • Children who turn 4 by the 31st July of the current preschool year - meaning they are eligible to attend school the following year.

  • Children from low income families (Holding a Low Income Health Care card)

  • Children from an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background

  • Children with Additional Needs

  • Children from families whose primary language is not English.

Waiting List Information:

We accept children onto our Waiting List once they are 2 years old. Due to high demand we are only able to accept children onto the Waiting List for the year before they are due to start school. If you have questions about the year your child can start please send an enquiry first. If your child meets one of the criteria listed above they will be given priority access to preschool in the year before they can attend school. We then place children according to the date the application was received.

There is a $20 fee (non-refundable) for each child placed on the list. This fee must be deposited into the Preschool bank account with the child’s name as the reference. Once the deposit and the Online Waiting List application are received your child will be on our list. You will receive an email confirming your place on the Waiting List.

Tours:

We do not offer tours of the service during the week. This is to afford respect to the children and staff at our preschool. For families on our Waiting List we offer OPEN MORNING TOURS on nominated Saturdays during the year. These dates will be sent to you via email, with a link to book into a session.

Filling places for the following year:

We start the process of filling places for the following year in July. Once we have placed the children who are returning to preschool for another year we start to contact families by phone to offer places. If you are offered a place you will be required to pay a HOLDING DEPOSIT of $100 within 48 hours. This secures your child’s place for the following year. This deposit is refundable provided we recieve at least 4 weeks notice that your child will NOT be taking the place.

Enrolment form links are emailed to you and the remainder of your BOND is required. The BOND is $200 (for 2 days attendance) or $300 (for 3 days attendance). The $100 Holding deposit is considered part of your bond.
