Priority of Access Guidelines:

The Dept. of Education stipulates priority of access guidelines for preschools. These guidelines mean that we must give priority to:

• Children who turn 4 by the 31st July of the preschool year - meaning they are eligible to attend school the following year.

• Children from an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background

• Children with Additional Needs

• Children from low income families (Holding a Low Income Health Care card)

Waiting List Information:

We accept children onto our Waiting List once they are 2 years old. If you send an application in before your child’s 2nd birthday it will not be accepted and you will forfeit the $20 application fee.

Due to high demand we only accept children onto the Waiting List for the year before they are eligible to start school (turning 4 by July 31st of that year). If you have questions about the year your child can start preschool, please send an enquiry first. If your child meets one of the criteria listed above they will be given priority access to preschool for the year before they can attend school. We then place children according to the date the application was received.

There is a $20 fee (non-refundable) for each child placed on the list. This fee must be deposited into the Preschool bank account with the child’s name as the reference. Once the deposit and the Online Waiting List application are received your child will be on our list. You will receive an email confirming your place on the Waiting List.
